" I wanted to react but my mentor told me to not react."

-> why so?

I don't say it wont change anything but I have the feeling that sometimes individual investor overplay the idea the management not knowing if they are talking to someone having a 1k€ position or a 100+k€ position of their stocks.

Other than that, aligned with you. Things will go on. Political folks will fight and get replaced. Companies will stay (for most of them).

Nevertheless the big elephant in the room is the debt and the potential impact on companies in the future (direct taxes, additional employee wages, etc.)...

Because the administrator who spoke to me in such a way is very well known and as a stoic the best thing is not to show any emotions and to not react. I sold my shares and won't waste a single minute with this company.

The best managers don't care if you are a small or a big player. If they speack to everyone in the same way then it is an interesting and good indication!

France's debt is an issue but I think that whathever the government in place they will have to move very carefully if not the economy will react poorly. And a political party always changes its stance once it is effectively governing. IT has lready been the case in the past.

Cheers!

"On a side note, I consider real estate rents as a sort of float. I can invest it but know that at one point I will need some of it back to cover expenses linked to real estate."

Do you have a specific strategy in regard to real estate ? I don't think you've ever talked about it here, I think it would be very interesting.

For exemple, you seem to be investing directly in real estate but do you also use vehicles such as REITS or SCPIs in France ?

I invested directly in real estate a long time ago. It was my initial flat and is now a rental. I largely prefer to invest in shares. Real estate requires time (to make things move at the level of the building, lots of taxes, lots of intermedairies...).

The good side is that the rents act as an additionnal source of cash flow which can invested in a regularly basis in shares. But it is a float as there are some co-ownership fees, taxes....

I will maybe do a a post about it!
