Precia: feedback from a meeting with the management

A clear direction is being followed!

Precia builds weighting equipements and the maintenance services which go with it. The business model is based on selling the equipement with a low margin to then make their margins on the selling of the maintenance offering. This brings the recurring part of the business. This helped them massively to remain solid during the major crisis which we saw in the past.

The founding family is the majority shareholder. A new CEO arrived in 2022 and is focusing on productivity and on profitability. There are some nice little gems in this company which is based in Privas (Ardèche). This is a clear French hidden champion.

I have been following this company for many years and this helps me to understand its DNA. The company has its history which can explain certain core principles which will act as a guide book as to how Precia will grow. The longer you follow a company, the more often you see them the more you know what their secret sauce is made of.

When they are available for a meeting it is a must visit for me as they don’t communicate that much. This meeting was really interesting as all the questions could be asked for one hour and a half.
